Dear Clinton Church Family,
One of the reasons I am now a pastor is because of one of my college New Testament professors named Bill Moulder. He taught me how remarkable and wonderful and surprising is the New Testament. One class I vividly remember was on Paul’s letters. Nearly every class we would open our bibles and study various passages. He taught us to ask three questions of the text. The questions are these: what does it say about us; what does it say about God; and what does it say about our relationship with God?
He taught me that no matter what passage you encounter in the Bible, that passage is primarily about human nature. What God does in response to our human nature. And how we should live. And so this Sunday we are going to use the same framework to look at John 13 when Jesus washes his disciples feet.
I hope to see you this Palm Sunday for worship at 11:00 a.m. and Sunday School at 9:45 a.m.
Don’t forget we are welcoming new members with a short reception after worship (thank you Deacons!). Can’t wait!
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Karen
